Fire engulfs cardboard factory in Derabassi

The factory manufactures egg and apple trays. The furniture and machinery inside the factory was gutted.

Sub divisional magistrate, Himanshu Gupta, said, “As soon as the information of fire was received, five fire tenders were immediately rushed to the spot which controlled the fire within five hours”.

He said that the fire was likely to have occurred due to a short circuit.
