Acting on specific information that an unlicensed firecracker manufacturing unit was operating at the location, the CIA team conducted a sudden raid.

Officials seized more than 200 boxes of firecrackers, including around 100 large boxes, about 70 smaller ones and several even smaller packages. Loose bombs that had been left in the open to dry and a quantity of gunpowder were also recovered.

The recovered items were sealed and taken away in a canter for further investigation. Officers are currently searching for the owner of the illegal unit, whose identity has not yet been established. ASI Vikas Kumar of CIA-1 confirmed that the team found no licence for the manufacturing activity.
