Ludhiana Basketball Academy (LBA) emerged champions of the 75th Junior State Basketball Championship in both the boys’ and girls’ categories at Gurusar Sudhar on Monday.

The final day of the tournament saw intense, high-energy matches as teams battled for top honours. The closing ceremony was graced by Ramandeep Singh, SP (Jagraon), who congratulated the players for their exceptional performances and team spirit.
In the boys’ section, the team from Patiala set the tone on the final day with a hard-fought win over Ludhiana District, defeating them 56–51. However, Ludhiana District bounced back in the next game, overpowering Bathinda with a 70–60 win. The much-awaited final between LBA and Patiala turned into a nail-biting contest, with LBA exhibiting superior coordination and shooting accuracy to secure an 84–77 win and claim the championship title. In the girls’ section, LBA sustained their hold with an emphatic win over Patiala, winning the final 58–31.
While LBA was declared the overall champion in both boys’ and girls’ categories, Patiala District secured the runner-up position in both sections, and Ludhiana District finished third.
