The Moti Nagar police booked president of Sherpur Kalan Fish Market along with his son and 50 others for allegedly attempting a murder bid on a factory owner and his nephew following a dispute over the factory gate on Tuesday, police said on Wednesday. It is alleged that the accused pelted the victims with stones and bricks, resulting in both suffering injuries.

The accused have been identified as Ram Prasad Jaiswal, his son Vikas Jaiswal, while their 50 aides are yet to be identified, said police.
In his complaint to the police, the victim Rakesh Kumar Tangri, owner of KS Tangri Textile mills, said that the accused Ram Prasad Jaiswal was conspiring to close the factory gate opening towards the fish market.

He also pelted us with stones. Me and my nephew Hitesh suffered grievous injuries. The attackers left the place after threatening us,” the victim told the police.
ASI Vijay Kumar, who is investigating the case, stated that an FIR under Sections 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 126 (2) (wrongfully restrain), 329(3) (criminal trespass), 62 (attempt to commit offences), 109 (attempt to murder), 351(3) (criminal intimidation), 191(3) (rioting, being armed with a deadly weapon) and 190 (every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object) of BNS has been lodged. A hunt is on for the arrest of the accused.
