Ludhiana’s DMCH inaugurates PUNCIPS-2022
PUNCIPS-2022, organised by DMCH, provides an opportunity to PG students from across north India to learn from senior faculty coming from various parts of the country
The department of psychiatry of Dayanand Medical College & Hospital (DMCH) organised a two-day conference PUNCIPS-2022 on the theme ‘Back to basics– nosology & phenomenology’ at Club Nirvana, Hambran Road, on Monday.
The CME was formally inaugurated by secretary of DMCH managing society, Prem Kumar Gupta along with principal Sandeep Puri, vice principal GS Wander, and faculty members of the department of psychiatry.
Organising chairperson Navkiran Mahajan welcomed the dignitaries and participating delegates. In her address, Mahajan said this CME provides an opportunity for psychiatrists to enhance their clinical and academic skills. She said, “The event provides an opportunity to PG students from across north India to learn from senior faculty coming from various parts of the country.”
Professor & head of department Ranjiv Mahajan said that this CME covers several issues pertaining to psychiatric examinations and clinical diagnosis which will be very beneficial for the new PG trainees. DMCH professor Rupesh Chaudhary said, “The theme of CME back to basics– nosology & phenomenology has a vital role in the field of psychiatry which helps to improve the clinical as well as research skills and provide a better outcome for the PG Academics as well.
