Manage Agri Film Festival-2022: Ludhiana-based scientist brings laurels
Ludhiana-based scientist Jaswinder Singh received the award for his film “Zoonosis- Disease between Animals and Human” during the award ceremony of Manage Agri Film Festival, held on March 11 from BC Patil, minister of agriculture, Government of Karnataka
Punjabi film titled “Zoonosis- Disease between Animals and Human” of city-based scientist of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) won the best Punjabi language film in the Manage Agri Film Festival-2022 organised by the National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (Manage) at Hyderabad in Telangana.
Associate professor, Directorate of Extension Education, GADVASU, Jaswinder Singh, developed this film for the awareness of livestock farmers about zoonotic diseases. Balbir Bagicha Singh, Rajneesh Sharma, RK Sharma, and PS Brar played a pivotal role in the development of this film.
Jaswinder received the award during the award ceremony of Agri Film Festival, held on March 11 from BC Patil, minister of agriculture, Government of Karnataka.
Manage Agri Film Festival-2022 is unique and the first-of-its-kind in the country where the films on agriculture and allied sectors were invited, screened, and awarded. A total of 273 films, from 20 states and in eleven languages were screened by 45 jury members for the finalisation of top films.
Vice-chancellor, GADVASU, Inderjeet Singh, congratulated Jaswinder Singh and the team for national-level award and revealed that the vet varsity continuously works for the upliftment of the livestock sector and thereby livestock farmers in the state.
