The victim said that he is getting death threats on his social media accounts since the photos went viral. He said the accused uploaded his pictures with the message that I am helping police by using Amritpal’s attire.

“The photo captions state that it is me who is seen escaping on bike and I helped cops in releasing those pictures and videos,” said the victim. He is doing BTech at a private institute here in Sangrur district.

Sangrur senior superintendent of police, Surendra Lamba said, “We have booked the accused, identified as Tejvir Singh of Ajnala under relevant sections of IPC and IT act.”
