Panthers Party foundation day: BJP loves power, says Farooq Abdullah
Farooq Abdullah also cautioned the people to exercise their right to vote “very carefully” at the next elections when “money will be flown like water and the chants of mandir will be doing rounds again”. He was addressing a public rally to mark the 40th foundation day of Panthers Party at Udhampur
Amid a show of forging unity among opposition parties in Jammu and Kashmir, former chief minister and National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah on Thursday said, “BJP doesn’t have any love for Lord Rama and the party loved power”.

He also cautioned the people to exercise their right to vote “very carefully” at the next elections when “money will be flown like water and the chants of mandir will be doing rounds again”.
He also advised the people to carefully cast their vote at the next elections and take due care of EVMs to see the vote has been polled to the party and candidate of their choice and has “not fallen into the kitty of lotus (BJP)”.
Addressing a public rally to mark the 40th foundation day of Panthers Party at Udhampur, Farooq said, “Be ready, the time of real test is approaching when money will be flown like water and our mothers and sisters will be brainwashed with chants of mandir. There may be a possibility that they (BJP) may inaugurate Ram Mandir on that day (just ahead of elections)”.
It may be stated here that assembly elections were likely to be held in Jammu and Kashmir this year and the country would go to general elections next year.
Farooq said that when there were no jobs and inflation has spiraled, “the BJP wants the people to see them as the only devotees of Lord Rama”.
“But let me tell you that Lord Rama is not the god of Hindus alone…remove this misgiving from your minds. He is god of everyone.. of Muslims, Christians, Americans, Russians and those who believe in him,” said the veteran leader.
Quoting a professor in Pakistan, who died recently, and who reportedly had said that Lord Rama was sent by Allah to show right path to the mankind, Farooq said, “Those (BJP) who come to you and say they are the devotees of Rama, hey want to sell Lord Rama…they don’t have any love for Rama and they love power. Therefore, I want to appeal to our women to go to every village and tell everyone that the seeds of hatred have to be removed for the future of our children”.
Anticipating elections in J&K and general elections next year, Farooq said, “Never forget the martyrs of the nation when you press the button (on EVM)”.
Congress working president Raman Bhalla also addressed the gathering and criticised the BJP accusing it of “tax terrorism”
Panthers Party leader Harsh Dev Singh in his speech alleged that jobs were being sold in lieu of ₹30 lakh in the UT and said, “The CBI probe also found so. This is BJP’s real face”.
