Speaking about their journeys, the students focussed on how the institute played a pivotal role to achieve this feat.

Gamini Singla, who completed BTech in 2019, said PEC provided a fertile learning ground for her achievements, adding, “Teachers’ motivation and contribution helped a lot.”

“I chose civil service because I think one can contribute to society in a better way. It is a diverse field which helps you to grow as a person,” she said, adding that women can achieve anything

Anand Malhotra, a 2012 batch student, thanked his family for their immense support, before mentioning the institute, saying “We got very good exposure at PEC. An engineering college enables you in critical analytical skills and in terms of problem-solving skills. We had a very vibrant extra-curricular culture here.”

He added that PEC continues to be a premium engineering college in terms of imparting skill sets to the students.

While pursuing engineering at PEC, Abhishek Bakolia of the 2020 batch, who hails from Faridkot district in Punjab, did not have a clear mindset to pursue civil services. It was only during his internship that he started thinking about the same.

“Students come here from diverse backgrounds and engineering in itself helps in building skills,” he said.

PEC director Baldev Setia, meanwhile, said, “The achievement of these alumni will encourage many of our graduates in the time to come.”
