Police said the victim, a Class 8 student who was actively training for wrestling competitions, was found dead by his family in the storeroom of their house under the jurisdiction of the Industrial Model Township police station.
Family members reported rushing to the room after hearing a gunshot, where they found the boy with a fatal head wound. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared brought dead on arrival.
