J&K lieutenant governor Manoj Sinha had on March 18 dedicated a five-storeyed Durga Bhawan to the pilgrims. The building has provision to accommodate 3,000 pilgrims on a daily basis.

Shrine board’s chief executive officer Anshul Garg on Tuesday reviewed the arrangements being put in place for pilgrims on the track and other locations, including round-the-clock water and power supply along the track leading to the shrine, sanitation, medicare and availability of special ‘fast-related’ food at the catering outlets.

The shrine board will continue to deliver special facilities to specially abled pilgrims, such as pony and battery car services on complimentary basis, besides priority darshans at the sanctum sanctorum, he added.

The CEO said, “We have to double our efforts to meet the rising expectations of pilgrims so that they go back with a pleasant experience and happy memories.”
