Pillars erected by Nepalese citizens in no-man’s land at India-Nepal border not yet removed

Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) officials deployed at the border held a meeting with Nepal’s Armed Police Force (APF) after asking the Nepalese locals to remove the pillars. During the meeting, APF officials had assured the SSB officials that the pillars would be removed soon.

In a first, India to count snow leopards; process to start in September in Uttarakhand

Ranjan Mishra, additional principal chief conservator of forest for wildlife said that the forest department will start the estimation of snow leopard in September this year.

With 143 fresh Covid-19 cases, Uttarakhand crosses 6,000-mark

According to the health bulletin released by the state health department on Sunday evening, 143 fresh cases included a maximum 51 from US Nagar district. The other districts reported; Almora (3), Chamoli (1), Dehradun (46) Haridwar (26), Nainital (5), Pauri (3), Rudraprayag (1), Tehri (1) and Uttarkashi (6).

Seventy-one Covid-19 patients were also discharged from different hospitals in the state on Sunday with a maximum of 43 from Dehradun district.(REUTERS)

272 people test positive for Covid-19 in Uttarakhand, state tally rises to 5,717

A total of 62 Covid-19 positive patients have died in Uttarakhand till now with nine patients dying due to coronavirus, according to the health officials. The rest of the positive patients died due to comorbidities and other causes, added health officials.

In biggest single-day spike, Uttarakhand reports 451 fresh Covid-19 cases, crosses 5,000 cases mark

On Wednesday, with 204 cases Haridwar reported the maximum cases followed by 98 cases from US Nagar district. The other districts reported; Almora (4), Dehradun (43), Nainital (73), Pauri (4), Pithoragarh (5), Tehri (11) and Uttarkashi (9).
