After Punjab win, BJP, Cong leaders in Haryana join AAP

Several Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress leaders from Haryana joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday, after its victory in the Punjab assembly elections.

BJP former Gurugram MLA Umesh Agarwal and senior Congress leader Bijendra Singh are among those who joined the AAP.
INLD leader and former Haryana minister Balbir Singh Saini also joined AAP at the party headquarters.
Other leaders from Haryana who joined the party include former Samalkha MLA (independent) Ravindra Kumar, Jagat Singh (Congress), Ashok Mittal (BSP), Amandeep Singh Waraich (BJP), Brahm Singh Gurjar (BJP), and Sardar Gurlal Singh (sarpanch in Haryana).
They joined the AAP in the presence of Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain, party Rajya Sabha MPs Sushil Gupta and ND Gupta, and national secretary Pankaj Gupta.
“After the Punjab elections, people across country are feeling the need for a change. Haryana, which is placed between Delhi and Punjab, also wants change,” AAP MP Sushil Gupta said.
Welcoming the new joinees, Jain said it is a matter of delight that prominent leaders who have been MLAs and ministers in Haryana are joining the party.
“After Punjab and Delhi, people in Haryana are saying elections should be held soon in Haryana so that the AAP can form government,” he said.
Jain said the AAP is committed to replacing “politics of hate” to that of work.
