Three stabbed as minors clash in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri
The incident took place at Jahangirpuri’s K Block on Tuesday evening over allegedly abusive social media posts, police said.
Three minor boys were stabbed as two groups of juveniles clashed in north-west Delhi’s Jahangirpuri area, police officers aware of the matter said on Wednesday, adding that eight of the teenagers have been apprehended over the brawl.

The incident took place at Jahangirpuri’s K Block on Tuesday evening over allegedly abusive social media posts, police said, ruling out any communal angle to the clashes.
Deputy commissioner of police (northwest) Usha Rangnani said, “We received information on Tuesday around 6.45pm regarding a quarrel at K-block of Jahangirpuri area. Police immediately reached the spot and three injured persons were taken to hospital for treatment as they sustained stab injuries. During inquiry, it was revealed that two groups of young boys had a clash on the issue of posting abusive comments on social media groups on Instagram.”
The DCP said both groups have filed cases against the other at the Jahangirpuri police station. “There is no communal angle in this incident. Further investigation is in progress,” she said.
Last April, communal clashes had broken out between Hindu and Muslim groups during a religious procession in Jahangirpuri’s C Block, with a scuffle escalated into stone pelting. More than 30 people, including minors, were apprehended in connection with the clashes.
