Ballia ambulance driver gives injection to patient; doctor gets notice

A video of an ambulance driver administering an injection to a patient at the emergency ward of the district has gone viral on social media.

Health officials in Ballia have sought an explanation from the in-charge doctor of the district hospital’s emergency ward and paramedic staff after the video of an ambulance driver administering an injection to a patient at the ward, went viral on social media.

Hospital chief medical superintendent (CMS) Dr Diwakar Singh, while confirming that the viral video was of the district hospital, said, “A notice has been served on the doctor in charge of the ward... The incident occurred on November 23 night.” He said action would be taken against all at fault.
