“It’s for the first time that the benefits of government’s welfare schemes are reaching the actual beneficiaries, unlike in the past when schemes were mostly on paper. The UP government has set a priority to ensure total rural electrification in the state and this is helping farmers get better produce from agriculture,” said the minister during an event, ‘Ujjwal Bharat- Ujjwal Bhavishya’, organized by the electricity department in Tundla town of Firozabad district on Monday as part of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

“The BJP is committed on walking the path shown by greats like Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay and the electricity department, too, is committed to reach the last person in the state. Sufficient power is being generated in Uttar Pradesh by enhancing the capacity of power plants,” he added.

Sharma asked officers to pay heed to the complaints of the public so that they maintain their trust on the system.

BJP MLA Manish Asija, along with other BJP leaders from Firozabad, were present in the programme where children presented cultural events.
