Investigators said no one was injured in the incident.

Deputy commissioner of police (Rohini) Pranav Tayal said around 7.50pm on Sunday, a called informed Prashant Vihar police station about the incident.

“On enquiry, it was revealed that one Yogesh Singh, a resident of Jagdamba Apartments, had a quarrel with Ojaswit Arora... inside the society. During the quarrel, he fired three rounds in the air, one of which hit the window shield of a car parked in the society. No one was hurt in the incident,” he said. Based on Arora’s complaint, police apprehended Singh.

“The facts are being verified and action taken,” he said.

“Today’s (Sunday) issue was not that serious. Singh’s son and another child were playing, throwing balloons at each other and a quarrel broke out between them. Yogesh jumped into the argument and out of nowhere, fired three rounds in the air. He often loses his temper on petty issues,” said a resident of the society asking not to be named.
