School principal booked for molesting 14-year-old girl

The principal sexually assaulted the girl twice in his cabin, said a police officer. The first incident happened on December 28, 2022, and the second incident happened on January 20.

Mumbai: A case has been registered against the principal of a school in Central Mumbai for allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl student in his cabin. The police said the 14-year-old girl, who studies in class 9 in the English medium school, was having a male friend when the principal came to know about it. He called her to his cabin and allegedly threatened her that he could inform her parents about her affair.

“Initially, the girl became afraid, but when the 55-year-old principal again misbehaved with her, she went home and talked about it with her mother. She brought her to the police station and got a case registered against the principal,” said Maheshkumar Thakur, senior police inspector of Nagpada police station. (Image for representation)

He added that the police are searching for the accused.

The police have registered a case against the principal of the school under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and that of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
