Navi Mumbai: Three people were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly stealing two models of motorcycles – Royal Enfield Bullet and Pulsar 220cc – and seized such bikes worth 20 lakh in Nerul. The accused have been identified as Gaurav Ananda Kadam, 19, Nimesh Sopan Kamble, 21 and Prathamesh Raju Sapkal, 21.

“The accused were college boys who required money to support their lavish lifestyles and they were aware of the high demand for these bikes. After stealing, they mostly sold the bikes in Satara within their friend circle at whatever rate they got,” assistant police inspector Sachin Dhage from Nerul police station said. “We recovered eight Royal Enfield Bullet bikes and 10 Bajaj Pulsar 220cc bikes worth ₹20 lakh from the trio. We are still interrogating them to find out if there are any more cases in which they are involved,” deputy commissioner of police, zone I, Vivek Pansare said.
