According to the police, the video was allegedly shot by one of the five suspects late on Saturday night and was uploaded over a social media platform. The video shows the men drinking liquor and also had two guns which they flouted on the Hindon elevated road. Their car, a Toyota Fortuner, was also parked on the road.

A second video, suspected to be of the same men, also went viral. In the video, the men opened fire in the air while sitting in their car.

The Indirapuram police said that they registered an FIR against the five suspects under Section 147 (rioting) and 283 (obstructing public way) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and under provisions of the Arms Act.

“One of the videos is on the Hindon elevated road. They obstructed the public road and openly flouted weapons. The vehicle was uploaded by one Raja Chaudhary from Govindpuram. We have registered an FIR and teams have been formed to trace the suspects,” said Swatantra Dev Singh, assistant commissioner of police (Indirapuram).

Police said the weapons and the car seen in the videos will also be seized.

The videos are latest in a series of similar incidents which have occurred on the Hindon elevated road.

On January 28, a man was arrested after an alleged video of him performing stunts on a two-wheeler on the elevated road surfaced. On January 27, police arrested three men for allegedly making videos with their car parked on the road.

Amid such incidents, police have said that CCTV cameras will be installed at 12 locations on the elevated road. The 10.3km-long signal-free four-lane Hindon elevated road connects Raj Nagar Extension to UP-Gate near the East Delhi border and does not have CCTV surveillance.
