Noida RWA body to hold citywide cleanliness drive on March 15
As part of the initiative, special cleaning activities will be carried out in residential societies, markets, parks and other public places across the city, stated FONRWA in an official statement
Noida: The Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Associations (FONRWA) announced on Wednesday to carry out a citywide cleanliness drive across sectors on Sunday (March 15) in collaboration with resident welfare associations (RWAs).
Residents will also be encouraged to adopt waste segregation practices, reduce plastic use and maintain cleanliness in public spaces. (HT Archive)
As part of the initiative, special cleaning activities will be carried out in residential societies, markets, parks and other public places across the city, stated FONRWA in an official statement, a copy of which is with HT.
The initiative aims to strengthen public awareness about sanitation while improving cleanliness across the city, said FONRWA’s general secretary KK Jain.
“Around 80 RWAs are expected to participate in this drive to be conducted from 8am to 10am on Sunday. In each sector, the RWA office bearers and volunteers will participate along with sanitation workers from the Noida authority. “Jain told HT on Wednesday.
Residents will also be encouraged to adopt waste segregation practices, reduce plastic use and maintain cleanliness in public spaces, Jain added.
Officials from the Noida authority did not revert to HT’s request for a comment on the initiative
