Security guard in Noida detained for sexually harassing girl
The child, a student of class 2, resides with her family at the high-rise society under the jurisdiction of Sector 113 police station
A 45-year-old security guard of an upscale society was taken into custody after a CCTV video clip was widely shared on social media on Monday, in which the guard was purportedly seen allegedly sexually harassing an 8-year-old girl in Noida’s Sector 113 on Sunday evening, police said, adding that the video went viral on Monday.

A senior police officer said, “The child, a student of class 2, resides with her family at the high-rise society under the jurisdiction of Sector 113 police station. On Monday, a CCTV video of the alleged incident was widely shared on a society residents’ group and in it, the security guard was purportedly seen touching the girl inappropriately while she was standing alone on the society premises,” said the officer.
“After the girl’s parents and society members approached the police, we took the guard into police custody,” the officer said.
A resident of the society, who refused to be named, said, “On Monday, we came to know about the heinous incident after seeing the CCTV footage. We then approached the police against the guard.”
“After the incident, the girl was found in a terrified and was counselled.Later, she slowly revealed her ordeal,” the resident said.
“Recently, on October 3, the entire deployment of security guards at the society was changed after a dispute between two groups. How do we feel safe when security guards themselves commit such acts?” the resident said.
Sector 113, station house officer, Sarvesh Kumar said, “The guard was taken into custody on the residents’ complaint. The DVR of the society’s CCTV camera has been seized for further investigation.”
No case has been registered till the filing the story.
