Ahead of Khichdi Mela, CM conducts late-night inspection of Gorakhnath temple

The CM circled the temple premises to check arrangements and told officials to ensure bonfires at more spots.

GORAKHPUR Ahead of the Khichdi Mela, which is held on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, chief minister Yogi Adityanath conducted an inspection of the Gorakhnath temple late on Tuesday evening. In a surprise visit, the CM reached the temple at 10:25 pm despite the biting cold and inspected crowd management arrangements there. During the visit, he directed concerned officials to install proper barricades so devotees don’t face any inconvenience.

The CM circled the temple premises to check arrangements and told officials to ensure bonfires at more spots. He also held a meeting with the meal management committee of the temple and asked the district authorities to put up welcome hoardings at different places in the city.

According to official sources, the CM is on a four-day visit to Gorakhpur.
