The week-long, ongoing national workshop on construction and development of psychological tests organised by the department of teacher education, Allahabad School of Education of Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Science (SHUATS) concluded on Saturday.

The valedictory function began with invoking the Almighty’s blessings. The chief guest of the function was Anand Prakash Pandey, former joint director, higher education, Uttar Pradesh.

He emphasised that psychological tests help the researcher understand various aspects of human behaviour, the outcomes of which are helpful not only to the researcher himself but to society at large.

Prof Sr Marion Mathew CJ highlighted the fact that we are life-long learners. She drew attention to the fact that the journey of research is more important than destiny.

Earlier, Shailesh Kaushal of Lucknow University discussed different types of models such as measurement model, formative measurement model, structural equation model etc. Sanjay Kumar of Allahabad University shared technical information on happiness and mental health. Ashish Srivastava of Bihar Central University gave a lecture on the procedure of the construction of the test. He briefed the participants about the difference between quantitative and qualitative research. Anupama Mehta co-organising secretary, proposed the vote of thanks.
