During his tour of the old hospital building and new construction sites, including the Children’s Hospital, Pathak expressed dissatisfaction with damaged false ceilings, loose windows and poor electrical maintenance. He ordered immediate repairs and the securing of exposed wiring. He also directed the immediate replacement of fire extinguishers found to be nearing their expiry date.

Inspecting ongoing construction, Pathak raised concerns over the quality of bricks being used, ordering a quality assessment and halting their use until cleared. He further urged officials to accelerate work on the upcoming Children’s Hospital while maintaining high standards.

In a subsequent review meeting with the principal of Motilal Nehru Medical College (MLNMC) and other officials, the minister directed the commencement of the approved 100-bed facility and the development of an action plan for hospital upgrades as per Allahabad high court directives. Emphasising that cleanliness, medical supplies, and patient welfare remain top priorities, Pathak warned that he will conduct future inspections to ensure accountability and strict adherence to quality norms.
