Tejashwi Yadav to campaign in Tamil Nadu from April 18; RJD contesting one seat

State president of RJD, Tamil Nadu unit, Gowrishankar, said that the RJD is contesting Vilavankode seat.

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) national working president and leader of the opposition in Bihar Legislative Assembly Tejashwi Prasad Yadav is set to campaign for DMK candidates in Tamil Nadu from April 18 onwards and also canvass for one party candidate contesting from a seat in Kanniyakumari district, RJD insiders said.

“Our party candidate is contesting from Kanniyakumari district assembly constituency in Kanniyakumari district. RJD national working president Tejashwi is going to canvass for him and also other candidates of ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) from April 18 onwards,” said Shakti Singh Yadav, chief spokesperson of the RJD.

Senior leaders, including former MLA Bhola Yadav, said that Tejashwi is set to campaign in Tamil Nadu on April 18 and 19 for party’s candidate and also for DMK in few constituencies. State president of RJD, Tamil Nadu unit, Gowrishankar said that the RJD is contesting Vilavankode seat.

A few weeks ago, Tejashwi had visited Kerala to canvass for party’s nominees from three seats and also candidate of ruling Left democratic front (LDF). Election in Kerala was conducted on April 9 while election in Tamil Nadu will be held on April 23.
