Faster Ahilyanagar-Beed DEMU from Sept 1

Pune - The Central Railway’s Pune Division has revised the timings of the diesel-electric multiple unit (DEMU) services between Ahilyanagar and Beed, with the trains now covering the route in four hours. Passengers will save up to one hour and 35 minutes of travel time. The changes will come into effect from September 1.

According to the revised timetable, Train No. 71441 Ahilyanagar–Beed DEMU will depart from Ahilyanagar at 7.45am, instead of 6.55am, and reach Beed at 11.45am, 45 minutes earlier than its existing arrival time of 12.30pm. Despite the 50-minute delay in departure, the faster run will save passengers 45 minutes on the journey.

Train No. 71442 Beed–Ahilyanagar DEMU will depart Beed at noon instead of 1pm and reach Ahilyanagar at 4pm, compared with 6.30pm currently.

Both services will halt at Ahilyanagar, Narayandoho, New Loni, Solapurwadi, New Dhanora, Kada, New Ashti, Wetalwadi, Hatola, Amalner Bhandyache, Jatnanadur, Vighanwadi, Raimoha, Rajuri and Beed.

The revised timings are expected to benefit passengers travelling between the two cities for work, education and other purposes.

Central Railway has advised passengers to check the revised timings at intermediate stations through the Indian Railways enquiry portal or the official NTES app before travelling.
