Minor girl gang-raped in Pimpri-Chinchwad

Five arrested for raping a 15-year-old girl multiple times between March 2021 and March 2023 in Pimpri Chinchwad's Mann area; one accused made her sleep with others to earn money.

Pimpri-Chinchwad police arrested five persons on Saturday, for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl. The incident occurred between March 2021 and March 2023 in Pimpri Chinchwad’s Mann area.

As per police information, the prime accused befriended the victim, and by offering her chocolates and other gifts, he lured her into his shop and raped her numerous times between March 2021 and March 2023.

According to a complaint filed by the victim’s parents, one of the accused raped the victim multiple times, which resulted in her getting pregnant. He also forced the girl to sleep with the others involved in the case to earn money.

“We have arrested the accused for raping a minor,” said Mahadev Yelmar, Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) at Hinjewadi police station.

A case has been registered at Hinjewadi police station under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 370 (human trafficking), 376(2)(n) (commits rape on the same woman repeatedly), 376 AB (Whoever commits rape on a woman under twelve years of age), 376 DA (Punishment for gang rape on a woman under sixteen years of age) and sections 4,6,8,10 of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
