Navy chief calls NDA media mistreatment incident ‘unfortunate’
A Pune Working Journalists Union delegation submitted a representation to the Navy Chief during his visit to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) on Monday for the General B C Joshi Memorial Lecture.
Pune: Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Dinesh Tripathi, on Monday called the reported mistreatment of journalists at the National Defence Academy’ s (NDA’s) 149th Passing Out Parade “unfortunate”.

Interacting with the members of the media at the programme, Admiral Tripathi said, “The harsh language used by some officers should not have been used. I have directed NDA authorities to engage with reporters to resolve the matter. He also asked Pune Defence Public Relations Officer (PRO) Ankush Chavan to facilitate further communication between the two parties.
