Night temperature to be over 15°C till November end: IMD

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the night temperature in Pune will continue to remain in the range of 15 to 16 degrees Celsius till the end of this month.

Anupam Kashyapi, head of weather forecasting department at IMD Pune said that as partly cloudy skies are persistent in the city, the day and night temperature may report a gradual rise.

“Due to the continuous partly cloudy skies, the night temperature till the end of the month will be around 15 to 16 degrees Celsius. Whereas, day temperature is likely to be around 32 degrees Celsius. As per our forecast, from November 28, the sky will remain clear,” said Kashyapi.

Day and night temperatures have reported a rise in the last few days. The day temperature on Friday in Pune was 32.6 degrees Celsius whereas the night temperature was 15.9 degrees Celsius.

The day temperature on Thursday was 32.6 degrees Celsius, which was 2.6 degrees Celsius warmer than normal and the night temperature was 15.9 degrees Celsius, which was 2.8 degrees Celsius warmer than normal.

With night and day temperatures increasing across the state, the highest maximum temperature reported on Friday was 34.5 degrees Celsius at Panjim and the lowest minimum temperature was 11.5 degrees Celsius reported in Gondia, Maharashtra.
