The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has discovered that political parties and other individuals have placed numerous illegal hoardings and banners on their bus stops and other premises. As a result, the organisation has issued a strict warning not to place such hoardings on bus stops without permission, or else legal action will be taken against the perpetrators.

According to a statement issued by PMPML on Wednesday, “On a continuous basis, action is taken against individuals, organisations, and businesses who illegally place hoardings or posters on PMPML bus stops, shelters, or properties. Still, a large number of such illegal and without permission hoardings are found, so the appeal is to refrain from erecting, installing, or pasting any kind of illegal hoardings over bus stops from now on.”
Reacting to the issue, PMPML traffic manager Dattatray Zende said, “Because of these hoardings and posters, bus schedules and other route information are obscured and inaccessible to passengers. As a result, we are requesting that no illegal hoardings be installed or pasted over bus stops from now on.”
