Pune Metro: The minimum fare on the line being operation today is ₹10, while the maximum fare is 20. A round trip of ₹30 is available on both sections.
Pune Metro will be thrown open to the public on Sunday at 3pm after Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates it at 11.30am at Garware College Station. Pune Metro has been developed by Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited, which is a 50:50 jointly owned company of the Centre and the Maharashtra government.

Here is all you need to know about the Pune Metro project
1. Two routes which will be open for passengers: one from Vanaz to Garware College and the second is from PCMC to Phugewalu Metro Station.
2. Today metro trains will be available after 3pm. From February 7, trains will operate from 8am to 9pm.
3. As of now, the train frequency will be 30 minutes.
4. The minimum fare is ₹10, while the maximum fare is 20. A round trip of ₹30 is available on both sections.


5. The lines being operational today is just a fraction of the proposed route of Phase 1.
6. The route starting from PCMC will extend to Swargate after the completion of the phase, meeting the route starting from Vanaz at Civil Court station. The route starting from Vanaz will extend to Ramwadi.
7. Pune Metro will operate 27 trains per day on both routes.
8. The first phase consisting of these two routes will have total of 30 stations, among which 5 are underground.
9. The project started in December 2016.
10. Only fully vaccinated passengers will be allowed to travel on Pune Metro.
