A seventeen-year-old girl was allegedly molested by an auto driver on the internal road near ISKCON temple in Kondhwa on June 4. The first information report (FIR) was lodged on June 5.

The victim is pursuing a beautician course at Raviwar peth. According to the police, the victim got down at the Katraj bus stop around 8pm and hired a shared auto to reach Kondhwa. Beside her, there were two passengers, one male and one female in the auto. They got down early and she was alone when the auto driver increased the speed of the auto and took her to a secluded place on an internal road near ISKCON temple.
Terrified at his behaviour, she called up her mother but before that, the auto driver overpowered and molested her. When she resisted his overtures, the accused bit her on the neck and escaped under the cover of darkness.
She came the next day to lodge the FIR, investigators said.

“We are searching for different clues and other details related to the accused including CCTV footage. The girl cannot remember the auto number but he was in the age group of 32-35 years,” he said.
