The Alandi police registered a case against a woman for allegedly driving recklessly, damaging police barricades, and obstructing public servants while they performed traffic management duties during the Wari procession bandobast.

According to the police, the incident occurred between 6:10 am and 6:30 am on July 9 at Dhanore Phata near the PCMC Chowk in Alandi, where police personnel had erected barricades as part of the elaborate traffic arrangements for the annual Ashadhi Wari procession.
The complaint was lodged by police inspector Dipali Dattatraya Dhadge of the traffic branch, Pimpri Chinchwad police.
Based on the complaint, the Alandi police registered an offence under Sections 132, 281, 324(1), 221 and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act for dangerous driving, and Section 3 of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act.
