Ambati Rayudu posts cryptic tweet after Sunil Gavaskar's vicious 'no fielding, no scoring' attack amid poor IPL 2023
Amid the poor run, Sunil Gavaskar had launched a vicious attack on the CSK batter and Rayudu has now responded with a cryptic tweet that has internet talking.
Ambati Rayudu is having a rather forgettable IPL 2023 season. In eight outings for Chennai Super Kings, he has managed only 83 runs at an average of only 16.60, which his highest being an unbeaten knock of 27 runs. Amid the poor run, batting legend Sunil Gavaskar had launched a vicious attack on the CSK batter and Rayudu has now responded with a cryptic tweet that has internet talking.
On Thursday, in Chennai's away match against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur, Rayudu was once again used as an Impact Player, coming in place of pacer Akash Singh. But all he managed was a two-ball duck in CSK's 32-run loss which in turn saw MS Dhoni's team lose the top spot in the IPL 2023 points table.
Following the loss, Gavaskar fumed at Rayudu for his continued poor outing in IPL 2023. "You got to field. You can't just come out to bat and start hitting the ball. You can't do that. We have seen that with Prithvi Shaw. He has just been coming out to bat without success. No fielding, no scoring. Rayudu is out for a second-ball duck," Gavaskar said on commentary.

A day later, Rayudu took to Twitter to post a cryptic tweet on his forgettable campaign this season as he backed himself to bounce back.
“In life and sport ups and downs are a constant part. We need to be positive and keeping working hard and things will turn around.. results are not always a measure of our effort. So always keeping smiling and enjoy the process..” he tweeted.
Yashasvi Jaiswal's 43-ball 77 and Dhruv Jurel's fiery cameo saw Rajasthan Royals amass 202 for five at home. Shivam Dube threatened to single-handedly chase off the target with his yet another fifty, but with lack of support from the other end, CSK were restricted to 170 for six. Adam Zampa was the star bowler for RR as he scalped three wickets, giving away 22 runs.
