Rajasthan Royals’ opener Ajinkya Rahane slammed his first century of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) against Delhi Capitals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Monday.

Rahane took the Delhi bowlers to the cleaners as he brought up his century off just 58 deliveries. The right-hander looked in good rhythm since ball one as he went past the fifty-run mark off just 32 balls.

Rahane ended the innings with 105* off 63 deliveries and he powered Rajasthan to 191/6 in 20 overs. His innings included 11 boundaries and three massive sixes.

This is Rahane’s just second IPL ton as his first century came against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2012 edition of the cash-rich league.

Rahane now joins teammate Sanju Samson, KXIP opener KL Rahul and RCB skipper Virat Kohli as the only three Indians to have hit an IPL ton this season. Sunrisers Hyderabad duo David Warner and Jonny Bairstow are the other cricketers to cross the 100-run mark this season.

Rahane’s 105* is the third highest score against DC in the IPL. Chris Gayle (RCB, 2012) tops the list with 128* off 62 deliveries while Murali Vijay takes the second spot with 113 off 58 balls (CSK, 2012)
