The Virat Kohli-led Indian cricket team made a poor start to the second Test vs England at Lord’s. The batsmen could not deal with the swing bowling on offer and slumped to a first innings total of 107 all out.

Ravichandran Ashwin top scored for India 29. However, the other batsmen offered little to no resistance and James Anderson ended up with figures of 5/20.

The disastrous outing on Day 2 left many Indian fans fuming it led to many of them venting their frustrations towards the players on social media.

However, India batsman Rohit Sharma called on fans to back the team through tough times as these were the same players who helped the side achieve the number one ranking in Tests.

India currently trail 1-0 in the five-match Test series after a 31-run loss at Edgbaston. The last time they won a series in England was all the way back in 2007.
