Kane Williamson continued his brilliant form in the 2018 Indian Premier League by hammering his fourth fifty in this edition as Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Rajasthan Royals by 11 runs in an IPL 2018 match at the Sawai Mansingh stadium on Sunday. (RR vs SRH IPL 2018 HIGHLIGHTS)

Sunrisers Hyderabad chose to bat and they started well, with Alex Hales hitting three boundaries off Dhawal Kulkarni. However, they lost Shikhar Dhawan cheaply for 6 to Krishnappa Gowtham and that set the stage for skipper Kane Williamson to lead from the front. (RR vs SRH IPL 2018 SCORECARD)

Williamson started off in style by cutting a short ball from Kulkarni to the deep point fence and driving a full ball from Jofra Archer past mid on. The skipper continued to bat positively and he pulled a short ball from his New Zealand team-mate Ish Sodhi past deep mid wicket.

However, in the 12th over, Williamson switched gears and targeted Jaydev Unadkat. The right-hander paddle-scooped a full ball over short fine leg, lofted a drive inside out over deep extra cover, cut a short ball past point and a streaky edge that raced to the third man fence as Sunrisers Hyderabad took 21 runs in the over.

Williamson notched up his fifty off 32 balls and continued to bat aggressively by launching Archer over long off for his second six. However, on 63, Williamson edged a googly from Sodhi to the keeper but his knock, combined with his 92-run stand with Alex Hales has put Sunrisers Hyderabad on course for a big score.
