IPL 2019, KKR vs SRH: Dinesh Karthik, Bhuvneshwar Kumar eye impressive records

IPL 2019: Dinesh Karthik will look to make most of the IPL opportunity to get the selectors’ attention. Taking charge of the team after Gautam Gambhir’s exit, Karthik led KKR to third place finish following their loss to SRH in the second eliminator last year.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 is here and in the second match of the tournament, Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in Kolkata on Sunday. KKR will once again be captained by wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik and the veteran will be looking to add a major milestone to his name.

With 124 dismissals (94 catches and 30 stumpings), Dinesh Karthik currently is the leader among wicketkeepers with highest dismissals in the IPL.

Dinesh Karthik will look to make most of the IPL opportunity to get the selectors’ attention. Taking charge of the team after Gautam Gambhir’s exit, Karthik led KKR to third place finish following their loss to SRH in the second eliminator last year.

KKR have roped in Carlos Brathwaite to go along side Andre Russell, Sunil Narine as they would look to reinforce their batting firepower with Chris Lynn.

On the other hand, Sunrisers fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar needs 4 more wickets to complete 100 wickets for SRH in the IPL. If he achieves the feat, he will become the first bowler from his side to reach the milestone.

While Bhuvneshwar Kumar will lead Sunrisers pace department, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan will be in charge of the spin attack.Sunrisers have traded in Vijay Shankar, Shahbaz Nadeem and Abhishek Sharma for Shikhar Dhawan, but the it remains to be seen how they overcome the Indian opener’s departure.
