RCB vs DC Highlights, IPL 2020 Match Today: Rabada, Stoinis star in Delhi Capitals’ emphatic 59-run win over Royal Challengers Bangalore
IPL 2020 Highlights, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) vs Delhi Capitals (DC): Delhi Capitals beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 59 runs to go top of the IPL points-table. Kagiso Rabada emerged star with the ball picking up 4/24 including the key wicket of Virat Kohli. In their chase, RCB were reduced to 43/3 with Devdutt Padikkal, Aaron Finch and AB de Villiers dismissed in quick succession and even though skipper Kohli tried, his 39-ball 43 could only do so much. Anrich Nortje and Axar Patel grabbed two wickets each, while R Ashwin had one wicket to show for his efforts. After Kohli won the toss and elected to field, the Capitals posted 196/4 against RCB on the back of Marcus Stoinis’ unbeaten half-century and along with contributions from Prithvi Shaw (42), Shikhar Dhawan (32) and Rishabh Pant (37). After Shaw and Dhawan added 68 runs for the opening wicket, RCB hit back with three strikes in quick successions. But an 89-run partnership between Stoinis and Pant lifted DC’s scoring rate in the death and took them to a strong total. Follow RCB vs DC, IPL 2020 Highlights here:

Well played, DC!

22:58 hrs IST
GONE! Four for Rabada
Well, it wasn’t exactly a hat-trick for Rabada but KG does get his man off the next ball. Udana skies the ball to Shreyas Iyer and with that, it’s a four-wicket haul for the South Africa fast bowler. He picked up 22 wickets for Delhi Capitals in the last season and has clearly started with steam in IPL 2020. Fine spell comes to an end. RCB 121/8.
22:56 hrs IST
OUT! Three for Rabada
Full and straight and the stumps are all over the place. Shivam Dube goes, putting the South African quick on a hat-trick

IPL 2020, RCB vs DC Live Score: Did Ashwin use his ‘Mankading’ tactics?
In R Ashwin’s first over against RCB, the off-spinner had a clear chance of dismissing Aaron Finch using the technique. Finch was clearly outside his crease while Ashwin was into his run-up. But instead of clipping off the bails, Ashwin stopped and gave Finch a warning to return to the crease. DC head coach Ricky Ponting was seen smiling in the dugout.

How things look after 15 overs for RCB and DC
RCB’s hopes were dented big time with the wicket of Virat Kohli. In case you missed what’s happened so far in the RCB innings, this will fill you in.
22:46 hrs IST
OUT! Rabada ends Sundar’s fight
Gives the batsman no room and Sundar pulls the ball straight to Ashwin at mid wicket. Having gone for two fours earlier in the overs, Rabada stages the perfect comeback to get his man and push Delhi Capitals close to victory.
22:43 hrs IST
Six for Dube, two fours off three balls for Sundar
Well, hello! Hang on, Washington Sundar and Shivam Dube are not throwing in the towel just yet. At least that’s what the flat batted six from Dube and a couple of boundaries by Sundar off Rabada suggest.
21:40 hrs IST
DC now really tightening the lid
The 100 comes up for RCB but you’ve got to believe, it’s come at a bad scoring rate. Even though it’s not completely out of question, the question remains: Can Dube and Sundar pull a rabit out of the hat?
21:34 hrs IST
GONE! Virat Kohli is out to Kagiso Rabada
Big wicket! Big, big wicket here for Delhi Capitals Virat Kohli inside edges the ball from Kagiso Rabada to Rishabh Pant. The pressure of the asking rate gets to the Master of the Chase. RCB 5 down for 94. Is that the death knell in this game for RCB?
22:30 hrs IST
SIX! Kohli connects well and the ball goes some distance
There it is. Right out of the middle. Kohli gets a maximum as he thumps Harshal Patel down the ground. Sundar joins in, cracking a boundary off his first ball. Could this be the over that opens the doors for RCB? 16 come off the over. RCB 91/4. Seven overs left and still more than a 100 runs left to chase down.
22:27 hrs IST
OUT! Moeen picks out the fielder at deep midwicket

21:23 hrs IST
IPL 2020, RCB vs DC Live Score: RCB need to get a move on
11 overs gone, RCB 70/3. This is it for them. The 12th over needs to be a 20-run over at least. The required rate is almost 15. Kohli is an excellent chaser no doubt but the Capitals are giving noting away. They’re producing gold dusts by keeping Kohli and Moeen Ali quiet. Kohli is striking at less than 100.
21:20 hrs IST
Wonderful over from Patel, just 2 runs scored
10 overs gone and RCB have reached 63/3. Don’t think RCB can afford to have many more such quiet overs. The required run-rate has jumped to over 13.5 an over. This will take a special effort from even Virat Kohli to chase this one down. Master of the Chase he’s called. We bet his mind is putting every equation into calculation.
22:17 hrs IST
Two teams after nine overs
Delhi Capitals were 78/1 at the end of the 9th over, while Royal Challengers Bangalore are behind by some margin - 61 for 3.
22:14 hrs IST
Ashwin to Kohli
A battle that has flown under the radar to be honest. R Ashwin is yet to dismiss Virat Kohli in the IPL. Kohli has won the battle so far, but can Ashwin deal RCB the blow they would hate to receive at the moment? Nine overs gone, RCB 61/3, need 136 off 66 balls.

22:00 hrs IST
De Villiers begins in style, reprieve for Kohli
AB de Villiers, you beauty! Has he even retired? The man seems to have not lost a beat. Scores a couple of quick boundaries. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli almost runs himself out at the non-striker’s end. A bit of miscommunication and Kohli, who is almost half way down the wickets struggles to get back. A direct hit would have had him there.

Virat Kohli first Indian batsman to score 9000 T20 runs
And with a flick towards the fine leg boundary, Virat Kohli reaches 10, which is what he needed to go past 9000 runs in T20 cricket. Becomes the first Indian batsman to get there. What a man, what a player. The finest batsman of our generation.
21:52 hrs IST
OUT! Axar Patel gets Aaron Finch, RCB 2 down
GONE! RCB 27/2 as Axar Patel has Aaron Finch out caught behind. Finch’ luck, that saw him getting three lifelines, finally runs out. Goes for 13. Offers to play the forward defence but the ball takes a faint edge on to Rishabh Pant’s gloves
21: 49 hrs IST
FOUR! First-ball boundary for Virat Kohli
Wow! What a way to start. Leans into the angle of the ball and he carves the ball for a boundary. Virat Kohli is away.
21:46 hrs IST
OUT! First wicket for DC
R Ashwin strikes in his first over to remove Devdutt Padikkal. The young left-hander went for a heave on the leg side but didn’t time it too well. The right hand comes off as he plays the short and it’s that man again, Stoinis who completes a nice low catch. RCB 20/1 in 3 overs.
21:42 hrs IST
FINCH DROPPED AGAIN!
What a charmed life Aaron Finch is living. Two drops in a space of seven balls. This time it’s Shikhar Dhawan who drops a relatively tough change. Finch went at it but the ball took the edge and flew towards first slip where a leaping Dhawan fails to get under it. RCB 15/0 after 2.
21:38 hrs IST
CRRRUNCHED! Through the off side goes Finch and collects a boundary
That would settle some serves for the Aussie opener. Length ball and that one is right up any top order batsman’s alley. Slightly short of length and Finch smashes it through the gap on the off side.
21:35 hrs IST
DROPPED! Rabada puts down Finch on nought
What? Did that just happen? Finch casually pushes the ball back to Rabada in what is probably one of the easiest return catches of all time. Rabada gets his hand on to it only to put it down. RCB 5/0 after 1 overs
21:32 hrs IST
Second innings underway, Rabada to Padikkal
And RCB are off the mark straightaway with a single. Padikkal drops the bat as he and Finch complete a successfully. Rabada follows it up with a wide down the leg side. Lost his direction looking to bowl the inswinger.
21:28 hrs IST
Shaw reflects on his innings of 42
“In the meeting, we discussed that the Powerplay is the most important thing in the IPL. It worked. Powwerplay was the important part for me and Shikhar to get at least 45-50 so that the lower order can go from first ball. Stoinis played well. It was a good start. (What he worked on to become more consistent) Not playing too many strokes, just playing my natural game along the ground, just waiting for the loose balls. (Against the spinners) It wasn’t coming o to the bat, it was holding a bit. Shikhar bhai told me to wait for the loose balls. I think it’s a good total. One side is a bigger boundary, so we can plan. They have good batsmen.”

21:17 hrs IST
End of the innings, Delhi Capitals finish on 196/4
Not a bad final over at all from Udana. After a single and a leg-bye, Shimron Hetmyer connected a six but the left-arm quick came back well to give away six off the last three overs. Not 200, but Delhi Capitals would be content with the total they’ve put up. Fabulous effort from Marcus Stoinis. DC would have struggled to get this total had it not been for his assault.
21:14 hrs IST
FIFTY for Stoinis!
Gets there off 24 balls as he pummels another boundary.
21:11 hrs IST
OUT! Siraj cleans up Pant
Pant misses, Siraj hits. The batsman swung for the fences only to miss putting bat to ball. Slightly slower and Pant plays on. The 89-run partnership comes to end but what a stand it was.
21:09 hrs IST
Another Beamer, but Pant connects it for SIX
Incredible shot! Pant goes down on one knee and even though it was a full toss heading towards his head, the batsman played swung it across the line, a top edge that flew for six.
21:07 hrs IST
Good over fro Udana, two remain
10 off the over, pretty good from RCB’s standpoint. Now come the final two overs of the innings.
21:04 hrs IST
Slower balls not working for Udana
He got hit in his first spell and he’s begun his third spell with another boundary. Another slower ball which is spotted well by the batsman. Pant gives it his all and gets a boundary towards extra cover. Udana follows it up with two balls in the block hole.

BOOM! Six for Pant
He’s played an odd innings, reaching 14 off 15, but Pant breaks the chains with a six down the wicket off Saini. He follows it up with a boundary. Incredible power, neither Finch nor the other fielder coming from deep square leg can get to it. Three overs remain, DC 161/3. What’s a par score here?
20:55 hrs IST
Stoinis is 45* off 20 balls
And RCB continue to be sloppy. They had the chance to run him out but a little fumbled from Virat Kohli while collecting the ball gives him time to come back safe. DC must surely be eyeing 200 from here on.
20:50 hrs IST
Fifty partnership up off 28 balls
Wow! We’re in for something special tonight folks. Marcus Stoinis is on a roll. He pumps a boundary off the first ball of Siraj’s over and with that the 50 run stand is up off just 28 balls. Remember the first match of the season for DC, and how Stoinis made the difference? Brace up for a potential repeat.
20:48 hrs IST
DROPPED! Stoinis put down on 30
Oh dear! Will this come back to haunt RCB? Stoinis put down at long on by Yuzvendra Chahal. Two fielders emerging and that what seems to have caused the confusion. He thumped the ball down the wicket and it’s sloppy work from RCB. DC 134/3 after 15 overs
20:46 hrs IST
Gets a boundary. DC getting a move on
Saini bowled the free-hit well. Full ball, outside off but Stoinis gets down to one knee and hammers it over the fielder at point for a boundary.
20:44 hrs IST
Beamer from Saini! Free-Hit for Delhi Capitals
Free-hit coming up but hang on there. Stoinis is in a bit of discomfort. The beamer hit Stoinis right into his left hand knuckle. It was bowled at over 144 km/hour. Surely, that one’s going to sting.
20:40 hrs IST
IPL 2020 Live Score: Navdeep Saini back
And gets hit for a six for his liking. Drops the ball around the perfect length area for the batsman to connect. And Stoinis has connected. He’s brining out the big shots. And what more? The next ball gets hit for a boundary
20:36 hrs IST
FOUR! Drilled down the ground
Ali drifted a couple of balls outside off, which were given wides. The next ball he was in the mark, but as was Stoinis. A four to finish the over as DC get to 117/3. Six overs left.
20:33 hrs IST
SIX! Stoinis gets all behind it
Poor ball from Moeen Ali, pitches it centre of the wicket and muscle man Stoinis pulls out the massive pull shot to send the ball a long way. Much-needed for the Delhi Capitals. Follows it up with two singles and a couple of wides.
20:31 hrs IST
100 up for Delhi Capitals
And it’s taken them 12.4 overs to get there. Slightly slower one would assume, considering they had reached 50 inside five overs. But like we mentioned, RCB and their bowlers have pulled things back incredibly since the wicket of Shaw. 13 overs gone, DC 102/3.
20: 27 hrs IST

WHOA! Almost another wickets
Almost another wicket there for RCB as Marcus Stoinis nearly hits the ball back to Yuzvendra Chahal. Pant settles some DC nerves slog sweeping the next ball for a one-bounce four.
20:25 hrs IST
Fine catch by Padikkal to remove Iyer
Devdutt Padikkal, how can you keep him out of action? Pulls off a smart catch near the boundary. He caught the ball but threw it back inside the rope just as he stepped over it. Got back into the field in time and collected is safely. Iyer goes for 11. DC 90/3
20:22 hrs IST
IPL 2020 Live Score, RCB vs DC: Moeen Ali with the ball

20:18 hrs IST
Chahal to Pant!
All set for an interesting contest as India teammates Rishabh Pant and Yuzvendra Chahal face each other. Do not forget that all three dismissals of Pant is this season have come off the bowling of spinners. Virat Kohli is aware of that fact it seems. Chahal keeps pant quiet, as just three come off the over. DC 88/2 after 11.
20:15 hrs IST
OUT! Udana gets Dhawan as Capitals lose second wicket
GONE! Shikhar Dhawan holes out to long on. Came down the wicket but didn’t connect the ball as well as he’d have wanted to. The previous ball he went over the infield but didn’t time the ball well. The bat turned in his hand as he played that shot and Moeen Ali completes an easy catch.
20:12 hrs IST
Udana returns for his second over
And he stops a certain boundary, by getting his leg in the way of a bullet drive from Shikhar Dhawan. The ball hits his boot and ricochets to the fielder at long off. Gets away there, Udana.
20:10 hrs IST
Will Dhawan break the shackles?
He’s gotten to 28 off 24 balls but now with Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan would be looking to opening those arms. He’s faced nine dot balls so far which isn’t bad, but in order for the Capitals to continue scoring at this rate, Dhawan needs to bring out them explosives. DC 78/1 after 9 overs

Feel for @MishiAmit. One of the #IPL greats. Was enjoying watching him bowl. Maybe at the next IPL which isn't that far away luckily.
