Jadeja likes controversial post about feeling ‘pain, trauma and being ’criticised' in CSK under Dhoni's captaincy
Does Jadeja really believe he is not appreciated by the CSK fans enough? Why did he like that controversial post talking about his pain and trauma in CSK?
Ravindra Jadeja has been one of Chennai Super Kings' top performers in IPL 2023. Yes, the spin-friendly Chennai pitches have helped him take 16 wickets in 12 matches at an economy rate of just 7.14 but overall his confidence with both bat and ball has been right up there. This was a welcome change to last year's Jadeja, who was sacked as CSK captain midway and neither the team nor he performed to their potential. But is Jadeja happy currently at CSK? This really should not have been a question but speculations started on social media after Jadeja like a controversial post which takes about his "pain inside" and the "trauma" that he might be going through for being "criticised" by CSK fans despite winning three Player of the Match awards this season.

Does Jadeja really believe he is not appreciated by the CSK fans enough? Why did he like that post then which read: "Jaddu saying this with a smile but a lot of pain inside... Believe me it's a trauma! Imagine your own team spectators not supporting you waiting for your wicket! Still criticizing you even after winning 3 man of the matches!"
To add context to this. Jadeja, after putting in an all-round show in CSK's 27-run win over DC that earned him Player of the Match, said he constantly hears chants of "Dhoni" when he is batting in the middle and if he walks out to bat any higher than his current position of No.7 or 8 then fans will wish that he gets out quickly so that Dhoni can come in to bat.

"I keep hearing Mahi bhai's chants. If I bat higher, then the crowd will wait for me to get out. As long as the team wins, I am happy," he said when asked in the post-match presentation whether he would want to bat higher.
While this seemed like a light-hearted assertion at that time is now being looked at with a prism of doubt ever since Jadeja liked that post.
Jadeja, reportedly, was upset after being removed as CSK skipper in the middle of last season. Reports also claimed that the start India cricketer, who is regarded as one of the best all-rounders in world cricket now, had face-to-face discussions with captain MS Dhoni and CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan. Dhoni and Viswanathan did their best to resolve the differences and brought Jadeja on board.
That has been reflected in Jadeja's performance this year. He has shone with both and the ball. He has also been involved with a number of impactful partnerships with Dhoni this year.
