Born on September 28, 1996, in Una, Himachal Pradesh, Nitin Sharma is a right-handed middle-order batter and right-arm medium-fast bowler who represents Himachal Pradesh in domestic cricket. Learning his trade through regional district leagues in Una, he broke into state age-group squads before progressing into Himachal Pradesh's senior white-ball setups. Known for his crisp middle-order ball-striking and utility seam bowling, Sharma earned his senior T20 debut on February 21, 2019, against Maharashtra during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in Surat.
Over the course of his domestic T20 career for Himachal Pradesh, Sharma established himself as an energetic lower-middle-order finisher and athletic boundary fielder. His standout T20 performance arrived in November 2021 during a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy fixture against Jammu & Kashmir in Vadodara, where he struck an explosive 76 off just 51 deliveries - including 13 sixes and 18 boundaries across his domestic T20 stint - to power Himachal Pradesh to a commanding total.
Sharma expanded his white-ball experience into 50-over cricket during the 2025-26 Vijay Hazare Trophy campaign. On December 24, 2025, he made his List A debut for Himachal Pradesh against Uttarakhand at the KL Saini Ground in Jaipur. Throughout that Jaipur leg of the tournament, he provided crucial late-order contributions, anchored by a resilient 31 off 39 balls against Goa to steer Himachal Pradesh through a tricky middle-overs period.
Through the summer of 2026, Sharma maintained rigorous preparation in state conditioning camps and regional invitation tournaments across Shimla and Dharamshala. As of October 2026, he remains an integral white-ball option for Himachal Pradesh Ranji team.
