Roshan Munna Alam, born on April 20, 1995, in Golaghat, Assam, is a domestic cricketer who plays as a slow left-arm orthodox bowler and right-handed lower-order batsman. He came through the local cricket structures in Assam, displaying early promise with his ability to generate control and sharp turn with his left-arm spin, which eventually caught the eye of state selectors.
Alam made his senior competitive breakthrough when he debuted for Assam in the multi-day format, playing his first-class match in the Ranji Trophy against Hyderabad on November 17, 2011. Over the next several seasons, he gradually embedded himself within the Assam domestic setup, putting in industrious spells of bowling in India's rigorous regional red-ball competitions.
As domestic cricket expanded into white-ball formats, Alam extended his skill set to limited-overs fixtures. He earned his List A debut for Assam in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in September 2019, followed shortly by his T20 debut during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in November 2019. Across subsequent domestic white-ball blocks, he functioned primarily as a restrictive spin option and a handy lower-order contributor. Moving through domestic seasons up to September 2026, Alam remained a loyal stalwart of the Assam cricket team across formats.
