Energetic, determined, and street-smart, Roshan Kewat represents the fighting spirit of grassroots cricket in central India. Born on August 17, 2001, in Madhya Pradesh, he worked his way up through competitive regional tournaments with hard work and self-belief. Hailing from a humble background in Umaria district - the son of a truck driver - his playing character is marked by fearless enthusiasm and tactical sharpness, always eager to take the ball when the game is on the line.
Kewat developed his craft through the grueling divisional tournaments organized by the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA). Operating as a right-arm medium-fast bowler who can also contribute vital lower-order runs, he understood early on that consistency and variations were his primary weapons. His ability to hit the pitch hard and bowl accurate stump-to-stump lines made him a consistent wicket-taker across age-group and local club cricket.
The launch of the Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) provided Kewat with the ideal stage to showcase his abilities against experienced domestic batters. Representing franchises such as the Indore Pink Panthers, he consistently bowled in high-pressure situations. His disciplined approach allowed him to stifle opposition run rates and break threatening partnerships when games appeared to be slipping away.
The 2025 and 2026 seasons proved to be a breakthrough period for Kewat in terms of visibility and performance. In the 2026 Madhya Pradesh League, he delivered several match-winning spells, highlighted by figures of 3 for 26 against the Bhopal Leopards and 2 for 22 against the Jabalpur Royal Lions.
His steady development culminated in a landmark career breakthrough in October 2026, when he earned his maiden selection to the senior Madhya Pradesh Ranji Trophy squad. He became the first player from Umaria district to reach the state red-ball squad,
