"That (chucking allegation) was probably the hardest thing I had to go through early on in my career, when someone said that my action wasn't perfect and they did question my action," Lee was quoted as saying by The Age.

"I've got that behind me now and I've moved on. I know with Shaun Tait, with people coming out and saying he might have a problem with his action, it's always going to be tough for him," he added.

Lee went on to add that Tait has no problem with his action and said: "He's got the perfect bowling action, I think. When a guy bowls over 150 kmph there are always going to be questions, but I'm always going to stick up for Shaun Tait."

"I've bowled alongside him a few times now and watched him, and I ... haven't seen anything that's wrong with his action."

Since the Black Caps queried the legitimacy of Tait's action, the South Australian paceman has been forced to defend himself from accusations of chucking, and has even volunteered to be tested by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
