With unprecedented rains bringing the state of Kerala to a standstill, the whole country has been trying to help those in distress. India skipper Virat Kohli dedicated the comprehensive 203-run win over England in the third Test at Trent Bridge to the victims after winnings the Man of the Match award for his effort of 97 and 103 in the match.
BCCI took to Twitter to announce the same. “#TeamIndia Skipper @imVkohli on behalf of the entire team dedicates the Trent Bridge victory to Kerala flood victims.”
Over 82,000 people were rescued as multiple rescue agencies including NDRF and Indian Army have shifted people from flooded areas to the several rescue camps.
The Indian sporting fraternity has come together and asked people to do their bit to help the people of the state. Kohli had earlier thanked the NDRF and Army for their efforts.

The state is inundated by the century’s worst flood that has left more than 400 people dead this monsoon season, a million people homeless and caused unprecedented destruction to both private and public property.
Thrissur is one of the most affected districts -- the others being Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Kozhikode, Ernakulam, Malappuram and Wayanad -- in the worst flooding in the state in nearly a century.
People returning to their flood-battered homes in Kerala from relief camps were are being greeted by snakes and other reptiles and insects.
