Watch: Sanju Samson gets down from car, salutes crowd after they chant his name during IND vs WI 5th T20I in Florida

The Florida crowd chanted Sanju Samson's name during the India vs West Indies, 5th T20I at Central Broward Park.

India cruised to a 4-1 victory against West Indies in their five-match T20I series, on Sunday. In the fifth T20I, the visitors won by 88 runs at Central Broward Park in Florida as Axar Patel took three wickets and was adjudged Player of the Match. Meanwhile, Arshdeep Singh received the Player of the Series award. But the Florida crowd had their appreciation for someone else, and it was none other than Sanju Samson. Samson, Rishabh Pant, Rohit Sharma and R Ashwin were driving past the boundary ropes when an entire stand began to chant 'Sanju, Sanju, Sanju!".

The Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain also responded with a classy gesture as he saluted to the crowd. Here is the video:

The video went viral on social media, with fans hailing the cricketer. One fan wrote, "In a very short span Sanju Samson have made a strong fan base across the world."

Another added, "Class ,elegance,simple,down to earth..that is our captain Sanju."

The crowd also chanted for Pant, Rohit and Ashwin. Recently Samson did not make it to BCCI's Asia Cup 2022 squad, which was announced on Monday. Samson lost the spot to first-choice wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, alongiwith Dinesh Karthik and KL Rahul as back-up options.

Responding to the video on Twitter, one fan also lashed out at BCCI for not selecting Samson in the Asia Cup squad.
