Samant said the court reserved its order in the case on Tuesday.

In February, the high court stayed the proposed delimitation process after it was challenged by many villagers who said their objections were not heard before bringing their areas under the ambit of the urban local bodies.

In March, the high court nullified a government notification issued on November 20, 2017, regarding delimitation of municipal bodies in the state by including nearby villages into the ambit of the civic bodies. The notification was cancelled by the single bench of justice Sudhanshu Dhulia.

The state government had delimitated 23 urban local bodies. The state election commission had challenged the same in the high court.

In March, the court ordered the state government to again invite objections for delimitation process and issue a fresh notification.

The high court on Tuesday also ordered the petitioner that three service providers – Aryan Aviation Pvt Ltd, Pawan Hans Ltd and Himalayan Heli Services Ltd be made respondents in the case and fixed May 10 as the next date of hearing in the case, said Xitij Kaushik, counsel of the petitioner.

The case pertains to the tendering process of choppers for ferrying pilgrims to Kedarnath shrine. The petitioner, who operates in one helipad in Trijuginarayan in Sitapur area, had alleged anomalies in the bidding process.
