A 28-year-old woman was shot dead by her husband in south west Delhi’s Rajkori village on Thursday afternoon, allegedly after a heated argument between the couple. Police said the man was drunk at the time of the incident and was later arrested from the spot.
Police have identified the deceased as Gunjan and her husband as Anil Kumar, a native of Firozabad in Uttar Pradesh, who had been living in Rajokri village with his wife and three kids as a tenant for the past seven months. The children were at their school during the incident, police said.

during which Kumar shot his wife in her chest with his double barrel licensed gun,” said a senior police officer, not authorised to speak to media.
Police said, that the couple’s landlord who also stay in the same building, heard the gunshot and rushed down. He saw the woman bleeding and called the police. The suspect was found sitting in the same room near his wife’s body, police said.
