Mercury rose by a few notches in the national capital on Monday with the maximum temperature settling at 41.7 degrees Celsius.

However, the relative humidity registered in the evening was 62%.
“The minimum temperature recorded in the morning was 30.4 degrees Celsius. No rainfall has been recorded,” a Meteorological (MeT) Department official said.
The weatherman has forecast partly cloudy skies on Tuesday.
The maximum temperatures recorded at weather stations were -- Palam 43.2 degrees Celsius, Ayanagar 42.2 degrees Celsius, Ridge 40.4 degrees Celsius and Lodhi Road 40.2 degrees Celsius.
The maximum and minimum temperatures on Tuesday are likely to hover around 41 and 31 degrees Celsius respectively.
On Sunday, a high of 39.7 degrees Celsius and a low of 27.7 degrees Celsius were recorded.
